York Road Closure
This is to inform you that as from 1st of October the York Road site will be closed. The York Road practice is part of Churchill Healthcare and includes Churchill Medical Centre and Ching Way Medical Centre. Your care will be transferred to these sites and the doctors and staff will also be moving.

The closure of the York Road site has been felt necessary so as to ensure a high level of cover/care at all times. The current system was meaning that Drs were working alone frequently which made them feel isolated. We felt that although another change for the YR pts, that seeing doctors who were part of a larger team would improve their care as the GPs would be able to access each others particular skills.
Please note that your registration status and your doctors will not change

SCR
To enhance the quality of patient care, we are introducing NHS Summary Care Records.

Your Summary Care Records (SCR) is an electronic record of important information about your health. Ti will be available to authorised health-care staff providing your NHS care, which means if you have an accident or become ill, the clinicians treating you will have immediate access to important - potentially life saving information about you.

We are now offering influenza appointments - The following Saturday influenza clinics have been organised at Churchill Medical Centre on 26/09/2009, 03/10/2009, 10/10/2009 between 9am and 11.30am (Pre-bookable only). For weekday appointments please contact your usual surgery during normal opening hours.
